VIP PRESENTS: Dr. Arial Raigrodski – Zirconia-Based Restorations, A Hands-On Course
February 17, 2017
8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Hollyburn Country Club
950 Crosscreek Road, West Vancouver
Light breakfast and lunch will be served.
The purpose of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of a variety of treatment options using various all-ceramic materials.
The program will address ceramic materials’ properties in terms of esthetics and strength while making comparisons between the different all-ceramic materials available and between monolithic and bilayered all-ceramic restorations. In addition, the program will discuss how the advent of CAD/CAM technology supports the fabrication of some of these restorations in the dental laboratory with emphasis on zirconia-based restorations.
This course will address preparation design, insertion aspects (adhesive/traditional cementation procedures) including hands on exercises for the use of zirconia-based restorations. Each of these will be discussed in an interactive environment to support the clinical knowledge comfort level of the participants and to ensure optimal success in practice.
• To gain understanding and knowledge of different all-ceramic core materials with emphasis on zirconia-based materials.
• To gain understanding of techniques available for fabricating these restorations and how the advent of CAD/CAM technology supports the fabrications of these restorations.
• To refine preparation-design techniques which optimize a successful outcome.
• To gain understanding of the selection and use of insertion procedures such as adhesive and conventional cementation procedures.
