With digital radiographs you are not being exposed to the high doses of radiation of traditional x-rays and our specialists are provided with high resolution images that are instantly communicated digitally without the need of film and chemicals.
To assist us in early detection, our specialists use VELscope technology to identify cancerous or pre-cancerous tissues.
This harmless handheld device emits bright blue light which is used to inspect the mouth and tongue. The device is extremely sensitive to abnormal tissue changes and the distinctive blue-spectrum light causes the soft tissues of the mouth to naturally fluoresce.
Healthy tissues fluoresce in distinct patterns that are visibly disrupted by trauma or disease, such as neoplastic lesions, fungal, viral or bacterial infections.
Cone Beam Computer Topography involved the use of rotating x-ray equipment combined with a digital computer to obtain cross sectional images of soft tissue, bone, muscle and blood vessels.

Waterlase iPlus (Laser Dentistry)
Laser dentistry is one of dentistry’s latest advances. The laser delivers energy in the form of light. Depending on the intended result, this energy travels at different wavelengths and is absorbed by a “target.” In dentistry, these targets can be enamel, decay, gum tissue, or whitening enhancers. Each one absorbs a different wavelength of light while reflecting others.
Laser dentistry can be used for both tooth and soft tissue related procedures. They can find hidden decay in teeth in early stages, and in some cases the decay can be reversed through hygiene and fluoride treatment and may never need filling.

Using a specific modulation that selectively cuts mineralized tissue your surgical procedure results in less blood and is more sterile due to the lack of trauma to your soft tissue. This allows us to perform high precision bone surgeries with greater respect for soft tissues, increased visibility and enhance healing.
One Appointment Crowns
CEREC crowns & inlays are the latest form of porcelain restorations made by utilizing a technology called CAD-CAM (Computerized Assisted Design- Computerized Assisted Milled).
Your tooth is prepared for the crown or inlay, removing all decay and design in a specific way to support the restoration – then a digital impression is taken. The imaging is optical and uses an infrared wavelength to assimilate a 3D computer image of your prepare tooth, adjacent and opposing teeth. After the design has been approved the computer information is sent to the milling (Cutting) station which will sculpt the restorative material to fit the design (Tooth and Bite).
After the restoration is checked for fit, colour and harmony with the tooth and body, the restorative material is then prepared to the manufacturer’s specification then bonded or cemented permanently to the prepared tooth. This is all accomplished within one appointment from start to finish and all within the dental office. You can leave with your crown that same day!
